BOOKLICE

These are mostly a problem in warehouses and damp conditions. They hide in cracks and crevices and eat moulds, fungi and mildew, growing on paper and cardboard packaging. They can live up to six months and are found April to November.

We recently had a case where booklice were coming out of damp plaster and entereing a flat in large numbers. They were controlled easily with the right insecticides but long term control meant reducing moisture.
