We have had a week where all we have dealt with is moles, rats and mice. Rats in lofts, running accross ceilings, appearing in kitchens and seen running about in gardens. It has been almost the same with mice, droppings appearing in numerous places. One lady had a mouse follow her into the house as she brought her shopping in. We caught that one within a couple of hours by putting traps all over the house.
We did a mole gassing job in Frampton on Severn, which we will have to go back and check on Monday and have a rabbit gassing job to do in Wiltshire on Tuesday and a mouse job in Kemble, Glos on the same day. We also have several follow up visits regarding rat baiting done over the past few weeks so it looks like it’s going to be another busy week.
Moles should start getting more active from now on as their breeding season approaches. We also think it may be a better wasp season this year as many wasp nests went untreated into November over the whole country and many queens will have survived. Time will tell and all will be dependent on the weather.
