The price quoted for any service will be dependant on location, equipment used and time required for planning and preparation. Some of this may be included in the free site surveys or preliminary investigation work but may not be depending on the problem at hand. This will be made clear at the time.
As an indication outline costs are:
- Mole trapping and gassing is charged at £30 per hour and the gassing pellet flasks are charged at £40 each. Each flask will deal with many Rat holes, 5 to10 Rabbit burrows and 3 to 5 Moles
- Rabbit or Fox shooting is charged at £60 to £85 per session, depending on distance and includes ammunition costs. Rabbit gassing costs the same as for Moles.
- Feral Pigeon shooting is charged at £60 to £85 per session, depending on distance and time spent.
- Simple Wasp control will cost £50 to possibly £80 by September as the nests get bigger and more difficult to deal with. Hornet and very large Wasp nests may cost slightly more. There is no survey fee or upfront charge as with some Councils, which charge a £20 survey fee on top of the treatment cost.
- Insect control such as Bed Bug, Flea or Carpet Moth eradication can require a variety of treatments and naturally the costs will vary to a degree, but it is usually not as expensive as one might think and is considerably cheaper than some other companies. Typically for these insects it will cost between £85 for a couple of rooms to £350 for a very large house. A free site visit from us will quickly generate a very competitive quote. We use powerful insecticides which do the job in one visit in most cases and have a residual ability to go on being active for up to 3 months.
- Squirrel Trapping usually costs £50 to £85 setting up trapping stations in gardens but more pro rata when many more traps are likely to be set up in large blocks of woodland. Likewise visits to deal with trapped Squirrels will be £30 locally but more may be charged if many traps are to be checked as in woodland.
- Rodent control is charged at £60 to £85 depending on distance and time spent plus the costs of any bait supplied (no extra charge for setting out baited Rat or Mouse traps). Subsequent visits if required are charged at £30 to £60, plus any additional bait supplied.
- Bird control requires differing methods based on circumstances so costs will vary. A free site survey will quickly determine the best course of action and an immediate quote will be supplied. If bird spikes are to be installed then the hire of a cherry picker may be factored into the cost and we never use cheap shoddy spikes. Shooting feral pigeons is charged at £60 to £80 per session depending on distance. Sessions usually are for 1.5 to 2 hours.
We use both live catch traps and traps that kill outright (typically used for rodents, Stoats/Weasels and Moles). Lethal traps are not used where non target animals may be found.
The Pest Man team are qualified and experienced in the use of gassing equipment (for Moles, Rabbits and Rats), poisons (for rodent control) and insecticides of all varieties. Traps we use are all legal and approved. We use firearms where appropriate and are not constrained by the usual restrictions most firearms users are subjected to.
The best advice is to contact The Pest Man as soon as any problem is noticed. It is easier and more cost effective to deal with a small problem rather than a larger one which may develop as a result of inaction.
